The Great Fire of London

This is an interactive session in which the children have to plan how to limit the damage caused by the Great Fire of London using maps, 3D models of the city of London, and information cards that give them accurate information from the time. Again, this session uses real events as inspiration and quotes actual primary sources. meeting the characters from Thomes  Farriner to King Charles II.

Fight the Fire!: The children get to act out fighting a fire, 1666 style. Using replica fire-fighting instruments, the children spray water at fire targets (not real fire!) and learn what it's like to work together in a panic to achieve a mutual goal—to put the fires out!
